In short, I am liable for a $250.00 charge on my credit card, and the vendor is refusing to communicate with me, and I have not received what I paid for. I just called Amex to transfer points to spg and they gave me a 50% bonus. I didn't see this advertised anywhere so I thought I would share it. This means 2 Amex points equals 1 spg point. Edit: to everyone having issues - I did this over the phone and I have a USA business account.

I disputed the charge with Amex, got the questionable amount refunded to me. 3 months later, I got a letter from a collector threatening a law suit etc., and I sent them a letter explaining that the rental car company has failed to provide any evidence that I owe this money.
